I realized recently that I’m a lot more easily offended by girls than I am by guys. Perhaps it’s because of my competitive nature. I think that because guys are guys, I don’t try to compete with them as much as I do with girls. Well, I do like to compete against them in activities, but on a general level, they are not much of a threat. With girls, however, I think I subconsciously compare myself to them—it must be subconscious, because I could never allow my conscious mind to be so silly. Nevertheless, it is true that I let guys get away with saying things to me that I would get angry about if a girl said them.
