Yes, and if Mr. Bennet were Catholic, he could see the advantages to being crossed in love during the last weeks of Lent as well. Penance, resignation to God's will, etc., must reign supreme. Does God forget the brokenhearted? No, for even if a mother forget her own child, God will not forget but remains ever close.
