I left a comment/reflection out of my last post, because the topic has to unfold for me this Lent; it's something for me to to understand more than expound. However, I suppose my main thought was along the lines of the fact that the devil will try to steal your sufferings from you. He will try either to make you give up the struggle or else to lose the merits from it by complaining or repining. Don't let him win! We know Whom we imitate this Lent and throughout our entire lives, and He carried the victory through to the end.
