Amy has it right (but don't read it if you mind swear words). I spent the greater part of my childhood in South Austin, and now I live in a town even further south, which is good! I like the eclectic people of the city--Austin is a great place for people-watching. I also think that Austin is a pretty nice-looking place, all things considered. It might be a liberal city, but not intolerably so. There is a lot more to appreciate about it, which I don't have time to mention. I probably will never live there again, but I will still defend it from people who don't know what they're talking about. :&)
